Well B12 finished opposite of what I thought. Utah was a hoax and t.u. played their best game of the year. Conference finishes 1-5.

Possibly Baylor a hoax too? How do you not defeat a Georgia team with 12 starters out? (our 2nd team is better than you)

Auburn loses to a pesky Minnesota. Auburn is not consistent (as usual). They will only have 4 starters back next year.

Watching bowl games the last few years. If you're not in the final four, does it really count? Hard to say.

Utah is Pac-12. Is that what you meant?

    That is a head scratcher.

l only have 4 starters back next year.

IMHO, while some teams in the Big 10 were over-rated this year, I think Minnesota was under-rated.

    really count? Hard to say.

I think it depends. If you are a fan of a team that expects to make it to
the final four every year, then maybe not. If not, I think it still
counts. Some of those teams really get up for their games, especially if
it is a chance to knock-off a team who expected to make it.

This trend of players sitting out bowls may start to take a toll, though.

The only bowl game I watched start to finish this year so far was the Citrus. That one turned out as I would have expected (UMich was a Big 10 over-rated team), even with Alabama having some players out due to injury or sitting
out. The only surprise to me was that it took them a whole half before
    they put them away.

It will be the only one I watch start to finish, too, so I guess that the
final 4 games don't mean much to me this year. If LSU doesn't win, and
big, I will be shocked. I think they are in a league of their own this
    year.

As for tonight's games, I hope IU upsets UT. Being a Kentucky citizen, I
am a little pissed at how UT complained and got their bowl switched around.
I actually know people who had bought tix and made reservations after the announcement only to find out that they'd switched UK to the Belk Bowl so
that UT could play where they wanted to. They got lucky and were able to
    get everything switched.

No. Big 12 finishes 1-5. Utah 10-2 ranked 11th in country. Loses to the 2 teams with a pulse. They were greatly overrated. That's why I said they were a hoax.

IMHO, while some teams in the Big 10 were over-rated this year, I think Minnesota was under-rated.

I was a PJ Fleck believer when A&M was looking for a coach before Jimbo.

Until this year (Georgia), the No. 5 team was 0-5 in bowls. Hard to get up when looking in. I think the lower rated teams need the bowls for the extra practice and recruiting.
You are correct. That was part of the playoff picture. If you're a projected 2nd rounder and your team is playing a non-P5 school in the Meineke Car Care Bowl, do you risk getting hurt in a bowl that all you get is a trophy?

That is true. Will like to see what happens post-Burrow.
At least Kentucky (the state) goes 3-0.

That *might* just be a first, too! Not sure. May have happened in a year where Kentucky and Louisville won bowl games and Western Ky won a 1-AA championship before they moved up. Pretty rare for all three of them to be good enough to go to, and all win, a bowl in the same year.

Eastern Ky used to be the team to watch out for in 1-AA in this state but,
even before Western moved up, Eastern's team had sort of fallen off the radar there.
