Fruit Cocktail Cake

Mix well:
1 3/4 c sugar
3 c. flour
1 3/4 tspn soda
1/2 c frozen orange juice (right from can) 2 eggs
1 tspn salt
2 tspn vanilla

then add drained large can [sorry, mom didn't say size of "large"] of fruit cocktail

Top with 1/2 c brown sugar and 1/2 c chopped nuts

Bake 350 30-45 min. Top with Cool Whip when serving
