Hi everyone. First time post c. maybe a silly question. I'm trying
to install TrendMicro and the installation routine keeps asking me for
an Administrator Privilege pwd. AFAIK I don't have one. I never set
a pwd. on this computer. I see where I can in Control Panel under
"users." Is the problem as simple as my just entering a pwd. and that becomes the administrator pwd? Thanks in advance for any help. As
you all can see, I'm not exactly a computer whiz! BillR.

If you didn't set any password then you simply need to press the [enter]
key when promted to enter the password.
By default, the first account created on any XP, Vista, Windows 7,
Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10 is always an Administrator user. Password i >normally optional but most people create one anyway. I always do.
However, if there is no password then try pressing the enter key.
Hope this helps.

that the "Password" request stayed in place. Thanks for the advice.
Am I risking anything if, after all this time, I create a new
password? BillR.

What operating system are you using? When you boot the system, what
accounts appear on the welcome screen? Which one do you use? Does
your account have any administrator privileges?
